Raw Orange–Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie Recipe

 

Here is a delicious raw smoothie recipe courtesy of Kristen Suzanne, author of the book Raw Awakening: Your Ultimate Guide to the Raw Food Diet. This is a fabulous smoothie that reminds Suzanne of a Creamsicle. She notes: “another way to enjoy it, equally as delish but different, is with ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon added.”

Raw Orange-Vanilla Cream Protein Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup raw almond milk
1 handful ice
1 cup chopped banana
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
3 tablespoons hemp protein powder
1 tablespoon flax meal
1/2 teaspoon raw vanilla powder
grated zest of 1 orange
Cooking Directions

In a blender, combine the almond milk, ice, banana, orange juice, protein powder, flax meal, vanilla powder, and orange zest.
Blend until smooth.
Serve immediately.
